In a previous post about the 1926-27 BFAC exhibition I was unable to identify this pair of Italian leaves:

It was in Maggs, European Miniatures, Illumination, and Drawings: Bulletin 4 (September 1966), no.59A:
I have not been able to find out much about the Stuart Gerald Davis (1866-1951), who lent the leaves to the BFAC exhibition, except that he was apparently a painter and collector of ceramics, and made an important bequest to the V&A, as recorded in this article in The Times, Friday, 15 June, 1951, p.6:
